SAP E-RECRUITMENT

SAP E-Recruitment is an planning instruments that will help the company to find new employees, employ them in positions that suit their capabilities, promote their professional development, and retain them in the long term.

As well as enabling to handle company’s applicant tracking activities, SAP E-Recruiting ensures that drive up-to-date human resources management, by proactively maintaining contact with applicants, potential candidates, and consequently, with your employees. By setting up a talent pool, you ensure that you not only identify the best possible candidate for a position from all potential candidates, but also that you are in a position to staff critical key positions in the long term and thus safeguard your company’s success in the future.

The application handles almost the entire process chain, from planning and budgeting, through attracting, hiring, and retaining employees. The diversity of functions, such as electronic screening, filtering, sorting, ranking and so on, optimizes the work of your succession planners and recruiters. Sophisticated technical mechanisms ensure that you can control costs and profitability throughout the entire process. Thus, the application links recruitment and succession planning with your internal HR infrastructure.

Moreover, you can integrate workflows to automate information flow and multiple processes, such as the approval process or e-mail dispatch. Currently this is only possible for recruitment processes.

SAP E-Recruiting accelerates and drives your control of HR management processes. The application provides innovative access to Talent Relationship Management (not yet realized for Succession Planning) and promotes companywide collaboration. Web-based user interfaces, which can be configured to suit specific roles, countries, branches, and so on, enable easy access for candidates, line managers, recruiters, and succession planners to the information and services they require to perform their tasks or roles.

This function enables you to map Web-based recruitment processes. The system supports you in the following activities in particular:

    • To store requisitions for jobs to be filled. In the requisitions, To store a job description and the requirements to be met by potential candidates for the job.
    • To store processes for recruitment.
    • To specify the support team who collectively search for suitable candidates.
    • To publish job postings for the requisition in internal and external posting channels.
    • To create a talent pool with potential candidates, both internal and external. To structure the pool according to your requirements.
    • To determine potential candidates to fill a job.
    • To maintain contact with candidates of interest for future vacancies.
    • To evaluate your recruitment processes.

Integration

The solution is part of the SAP E-Recruiting component and uses some of the same objects, infotypes, and roles as Succession Planning.

The objects are kept separate from one another by means of technical settings, so that both processes can be mapped independent of one another.

Planning:

This function enables to map Web-based succession planning processes. The SAP system provides support in the following succession planning activities:

    • To create a support team, which together defines the requirements of a key job or position.
    • To describe the requirements of the key job or position for which a successor is required.
    • To create processes for Succession Planning. The processes contain the activities that succession planners perform in Succession Planning.
    • To determine which candidates can be potential successors and the willingness of these candidates to be successors. You then identify interesting candidates as planned successors.
    • To trigger individual development measures for potential successors.
    • To create a preliminary or final succession plan that is discussed at the Talent Review Meeting.
    • To keep in touch with candidates of interest. To do this, you use Talent Relationship Management activities.
    • To structure the Talent Pool (the database of candidates currently being considered as potential successors) to suit your requirements.

To run Succession Planning and Recruitment fully integrated on one machine, on the basis of SAP ECC 6.0., the SAP Business Partner concept enables you to make HR master data and organizational data available to other applications.
